Will Wilkinson joins PEI Group as Managing Director, Communities and Networks
PEI Group has appointed Will Wilkinson as Managing Director, Communities and Networks. In this new role for the business, Wilkinson has overall group-level responsibility for global events and membership activities, heading up the whole division as the senior leader and working to build on the growth of the group’s events portfolio, as well as its membership transformation activities.
Wilkinson comes to PEI Group as a seasoned Events and Memberships leader with an excellent track record in delivering event growth, membership innovation and success to blue-chip financial organisations in EMEA and the US. He joined the business from a previous role as General Manager for Global Intelligence, a business unit of Fiscal Note. Previously, he was the General Manager of Leadership Communities at the Wall Street Journal, where he managed WSJ Pro’s Membership Verticals.
Prior to WSJ, Wilkinson spent several years at the Economist Group as Commercial Director for their Corporate Network & Thought Leadership Group; there too he developed membership-based networking services for senior finance executives.
Tim McLoughlin – Group CEO said:
“Whatever the distance-outreach, socially-networked, ‘linked-in’ activities in investment community procedures, they are no substitute for real, relevant people actually meeting together in person and connecting deeply, at scale and with efficiency. As PEI’s mission is not only to inform and support investors with intelligence, insight and data, but also to define and bring together the people who actually make investment happen, I am absolutely delighted that PEI is now joined by a leader of Will’s experience and calibre. This is such an exciting time for PEI to be connecting the real influencers in our markets.”
Will Wilkinson commented:
“I’m honoured and excited to be joining PEI at this pivotal time, as the relationship between investors, funds and the marketplace becomes ever more critical. By creating ever-deeper connections, year-round networks, robust, actionable data, underpinned by a global portfolio of events, services and content, PEI’s evolving membership strategy will play a crucial role in both our own growth trajectory, and that of the market.”
